I've been through a lot of guns, but got my handgun carry permit last year. Since then, I've carried a Ruger SP101, a Sig P220 Carry and finally a Glock 19. I've owned a lot of other guns, mainly for target and home protection.

I love my Glock 19. It eats everything I serve it. It doesn't get finicky about ammo. It is easy to maintain and light to carry.

Every time I go to the range, I wonder, "Why did I avoid Glock for so long?"

Everybody I know who shoots Glocks came to them the same way you have and never looked back after the switch had been made. In my estimation you have the finest 9mm pistol in the world and you can feed it all the +P or +P+ you want to....................................

My Glock 19 is my favorite handgun I own.,,,,,,,,,,,Im not too familiar with the CZ, but you can't go wrong with the GLOCK..........I love the glock for its ease of operation.,,,, Similiar to a revolver, pick it up and shoot it! SImple as it gets. No fumbling with safeties or decockers in a dark hostile situation...........

Just my opinion

The one fault I do find with the glock and other similiar trigger systems is that in the event of a misfire you must manually eject the round,

On double action revolvers or pistols you can fire again in hopes that the round will this time discharge.
Doesnt seem like that big of a deal but in combat every second counts.

(according to FBI statistics, 7 out of 10 rounds that misfire will discharge on the second attempt)

After owning a G22 for over 10 years I finally broke down last month and bought my second Glock - a G19. It's just a great pistol and I think Glocks and 9mm are a perfect match.

G-19

I am so sorry that I went through so many other handguns before I got to the Glock G-19. I have two G-19s now. Just can't justify buying any other handgun for self defense when the G-19 is Perfect !!!

I just got a 19 because of all of the praise it gets. It took me a year to overcome my stubborn pride in my 17.

Poor 17 it was my first gun, i think i might sell it for another 19.:uhoh:

congrats i am glad that you like it they are among the best there is. all teh guns that you listed are fine weapons but out of all of them i would go with the glock too.

Everybody Needs A G19! :D

It is my all around favorite Glock! ;)

My G19 is the pistol I carry the most; not too big, not too small....just right. Has been 100% reliable with everything I put through it, which isn't all that much from some peoples perspective, about 1k rounds.

I tried to convince my wife to get a G19, but we rented one and she limp writsted it along with an XD-9 and my Sig P228. For some reason this doesn't happen with my CZ-75D PCR or the full size, heavier 75B. She shoots those very well. I have to admit I wanted her to get the G19 so I could shoot it too, but ultimately she ended up with a S&W 642 revolver.

Now that you have that G19, you need 2 or 10, 33-round magazines for it. While you're at the shop, pick up the 3.5 Lb, short-reset trigger. :D

I love Glocks... but to me they are too much of a toaster. A very fine, reliable, accurate, powerful toaster... :D
And lest we forget the toaster aftermarket is HUGE. I hope to get one within the next year or two.

I picked up a like new used G19 to go along with my G17 and G22 and now those two have become safe queens as I just love that G19. I liked it so much that I bought a G23 (I am partial to the .40 S&W round) and now my problem is which one do I shoot. Both the 19 and 23 have been upgraded with a 3.5 lb connector, extended mag and slide releases along with 6 lb trigger and striker springs. The compact size Glock have all the great features of the Glock pistol and in my humble opinion are the easiest to handle and shoot well as they seem to point naturally.
