Decent online ammo dealer?

I just paid $150 for 800 rounds of 22LR. And $40 for a box of 50 rounds of 9mm Luger. I am looking forward to the day when I can find a bucket o' bullets of 22LR for $70 like I've seen advertised but out of stock.
I'm about out of my second bucket of bullets; those worked just fine

Reloading components have become as scarce as ammo. Some equipment. like dies in popular calibers, re increasingly hard to find. Looks like people are trying to take up reloading, but having trouble finding what they want.
Lee two cavity bullet molds are going for 3X-4X normal prices on eBay, or at least that’s what they are being offered for. Several had multiple bids when I looked.

Many online retailers aren't selling for a couple of reasons. 1st and foremost, Ammo manufacturers are sending them out to stores to fulfill backorders. I'm not sure how the ammo industry works for sure, but in other industries with contracts with B&M stores, they have to fulfill those orders or they risk breaching contracts. The other reason is if the online retailer actually has a B&M store. Selling online is relatively cheap compared to keeping a B&M store alive. Wouldn't you rather have your B&M store customers happy?
Yep my locals have it regularly at fair prices and limits. I even grabbed some sr primers the other day

$63 for 800 rounds? Yikes. I bought Federal Black bulk .22lr several months before the idiocy for $45 for 1600 rounds..................

Unfortunately, this is the state we’re in at the moment. Thus, this is currently the cheapest commonly available. But yes, I was picking up .22LR for $.04-.06 CPR just last summer.

I would say that's backwards. MANY online retailers have ammo and many LGS'(even the big ones like Cabela's) have zero. No such thing as a 'contract' meaning a manufacturer has to service one LGS before another reseller. It's about $..online resellers have deep pockets, are buying LOTS of ammo and reselling for double what the LGS are selling it for(if they CAN get it).
Online-9mm-$.70 per right now +/-...Cabelas about 4 days ago..9mm-$.40 per round

BUT, it 'seems' many of the places around here 'seem' to have better availability in the last few weeks.9mm, 22lr, 223, 38Spec.

Is the ammo industry much different than other retail industry? I know in the skateboard industry, there are contracts where B&M retailers are promised stock and it doesn't get sold online until those B&M stores are stocked. And also what I meant mostly was that Federal Ammo would be remiss to sell ammo on their site if the B&M stores can't get any from them.

there are scores of new ammo shops selling online that are fraudulent. beware if they accept paypal, venmo, or bitcoin for payment. they have websites that look legit but when you get to payment the tip off is obvious. if you cannot use a credit card, don't buy.

I have been in the bicycle business for years and yes, there are 'contracts', of a sort, between manufacturers/distributors and retailers but not who gets what first.
Most bicycle 'stuff' manufacturers/distributors REQUIRE a B&M store. Even if they DO sell online, they still must have a store front. Most bike stuff manufacturers and distributors won't even sell to a online reseller only. Also, gotta remember, that a 'bicycle' is made up of parts from 8-10 manufacturers.

Manufacturers that sell direct to the consumer AND to stores, that's a whole bigger can 'o worms...I don't think any ammo or gun makers sell direct via online(could be wrong)..nor do gun and/or ammo distribotors

Yep and I also look to see if they have a legitimate store front and means to contact them. I have seen some that have only an email for a means of contact. That is not good imo.

Its been a bad year if you are target sports member. And im not telling where I get my ammo from then they would always be sold out! Plenty of places have it if one is willing yo pay. A few haven't jacked up prices to much. Just have to catch it in stock.

Yeah, I'm glad I didn't pull the trigger on prime ammo membership last year. My uncle actually did about a year to the date. He was able to order a few bundles here and there and then the prices went sky high and availability tanked. I really do miss seeing the massive quantities and availability at good prices. I got to do alot of shooting for a good while. It will be a welcome return.

Military Shooters LLC
Outdoor Limited
Midway USA
RST Shotshells

I have ordered multiple times from each with no issues. But that was all before the buying panic, so these days expect product to be out-of-stock, backordered, or delays in shipping.
Good luck finding ammo without resorting to scalper prices on GB. Sadly it'll probably be a couple more years before things start to get back to normal.
If a gun ban or internet ammo buying restriction is pushed then expect the shortages to last even longer.

My membership paid for itself on shipping and the 8% off. Still swimming in #4 buck. Sadly shot most of the 9mm I bought. Always looking to adJud to my stash and help a few others out. Thought about selling some federal HSTs. Just feel slimy charging the going rate. And dont want whom ever to turn around and sell them again.

So the link you provided goes directly to .22lr. Are you saying it is regularly available and just have to catch it at the right time of day or? Just curious. I have checked the page frequently and haven't seen any stock.

About every 5-7 days their ammo becomes available. Specifically, this 22LR was previously available on Tuesday at 0515 and 1000 EST. I have not seen it available since then.
