If you're looking for a Buck 110 and are near a Dicks Sporting Goods location...I was browsing my Sunday paper today and saw that Dicks has Buck 110s on sale for $30, with a $10 mail-in rebate. I've been looking to get a 110 and $20 (after rebate) is the best deal I've seen.

They're mostly $33 and up (not including shipping) online.

I got my Buck 110 for $26 from Walmart. I seen them a little cheaper than that too from time to time for as little as $22. Not seen a price cheaper than that though.

I picked up a Buck 110 at Walmart the other day for $26.99. I'd rather not deal with the rebate stuff, and for such a minor price difference I'd rather just pick it up and be done with it.

American Classic

The $27 price at Wal*Mart is probably the bet price I've seen, if you don't live in the Post Falls, Idaho area.

People in this area can drop by the Buck factory and find factory blems in their little retail shoppe, and the blems go for about half price.

I have a number of "blemished" knives from them, and most of them I actually had to ask, "where's the blem on this one?"

The ones they sell at Wal*Mart are all still made here in Idaho. They keep the price down by including a nylon sheath instead of leather, but the knife is still the real deal.

Every few months I pick up another one. Because you just never know.

I use them as gifts, throw them in the center console of my cars, include them in emergency bags, and so on.

They are, arguably, the best knife buy in the USA.

Of course, their 119 is also available through Wal*Mart, and it, too, is priced to move, making it, arguably, the other best knife buy in the US.

Personal preferences will, of course, determine whether they're a "good buy" for each of us, but at their prices I make sure I snag one periodically.

Because you just never know.

I suppose a few from Wal-Mart at $27 isn't a bad deal at all...I'll have to check that out, as I agree the mail-in rebate is a little bit of a pain. Thanks!

I bought one this summer with the $10 rebate (mailin). It turns out that was old stock that was there for last christmas and the rebate deadline ended the end of January. Buck did not honor it. Walmart is the best place to buy if they have them in stock. They should be getting a bunch in for Christmas. They always seem to be sold out when I check.

Open the bubble pack and check after talking to a clerk or you may be a bit ticked.

I have a Buck 110 that I bought around 1980. It seems that, back then, the price was just below $30.

I still have it and it is still my hunting knife.

For some reason, I don't trust stuff from ValMart. I think they buy up all the "factory-seconds" that companies would not ordinarily be able to sell due to minor (or major) flaws, imperfections, etc. It's like stuff from Dome Hepot. Did you ever notice that you cannot usually buy the EXACT same item in other retail stores? Dome Hepot seems to have a lock-in on all the stuff that may actually be factory-seconds.

The Dicks thing must be new. I got mine at a Gander Mt store this summer. The package was marked with the rebate offer. I just learned later that the rebate program had expired.
