So today I went to the major gun store around here. I got a lot of good help from the guys there. I looked at the Kimber, Tikka T3, Ruger M77, Savage (14 something or other), Browning A-bolt, CZ 527 lux and the Remington 700.

I liked how the bolt closed on the Kimber, but it just didn't pull up right for me.

The Tikka fit better but still wasn't a good to go, although that is the smoothest action I have ever felt (with the magazine removes). I looked at a used one and it was even smoother.

The Ruger was ok, but just wasn't my cup of tea. The Ruger fit me the worst of any of them.

The Savage didn't have a bad fit but it wasn't good either.

I didn't like the browning at all.

The CZ was alright. It wasn't the model I would look into, though. It didn't have the cheek piece thus turning me off from it. I'm not going to order a gun I haven't shouldered.

The Remington fit like a dream. They guys kept trying to convince me to get a mountain barrel (pencil thin) but I told them no. The regular length guns don't even weight that much more. Plus with the likeliness of me going to open country next season is big so I guess the 24" barrel won't help. I think the cheek piece is what really does it for me. The Remington has a nice big one, almost like a pillow. There was one that had it, but just wasn't big enough.

The 700 fits me really well. It is the rifle I have liked all along but I didn't let that fact make me decide on that solely based on like.

I also picked up a Sightron 1.5-6x42mm. I looked at scope for about 2 hours before deciding on this. It has a sharper picture than the VXII I was looking at it, and cost about $100 less(it was on sale :D). I also got the flip up covers for it.

I'm just looking for a "peace through superior firepower to go on the inside of the eyepiece now.
