And they contact your employer when you apply for a permit.
And once an officer came to my house and scared my child.
And it can take six months!

All of the guns in the pos t were guns that I previously bought,My newest purchase has been a Stoeger Couger 8040 with no regrets at all,$419.00.Currently have fired 750 rounds without a hitch.Great gun just might buy a 8045 next.

If I had money, I would get an HK P7 if I didn't have one. It took me years to finally get one because of all the naysayers. Now I wouldn't want to be without it. It's fun to learn about a new-to-me manual of arms plus it is very accurate and outright fun to shoot. They are around 500 depending on the grade and the place of purchase.
A second choice would be the newly manufactured S&W no-lock 642s.

I'm more of a target shooter, so I prefer the longer barrels.
