I have seen reviews and read about the Definitive Arms Saiga conversion. Having a Saiga .223, I am thinking of asking them to do a AR magazine conversion for my carbine.

Has anyone had direct experience with the company that they would be willing to share?

Thanks!

At the time I sent my rifle in they were very busy so the wait time was the ONLY downside but they were looking to address that... As far as the upgrade itself here’s a few highlights as I see them. Mag adapter is steel and riveted to receiver.
The DA bullet guide is also custom and much better than standard bullet guides provided by online retailers. Nice LRBHO and mag release controls and mag well is flared as found on some AR lowers. I had DA finish applied with my install so I’m very happy with the end result. At the end of the process they made a great rifle even better. Yes the mag adapter is great but the LRBHO just as important in my view and it works great. If you are going to get it done I’d suggest getting it done on a new gun or rifle with low round count, that’s just my opinion. For a more comprehensive review take a look at the MAC's review on youtube

Thanks!

I have a nearly new Saiga (>80 rounds fired). I already watched the MAC Video but wanted to hear from others also. At this point I am sold on it and will probably ask them to do some custom work (like put a CNC Warrior folding stock on it). Thank you, you have a very nice rifle.

if you are looking to add the AR mag & LRBHO functionally you will not be disappointed.
