I am considering buying a Del-Ton upper for my newly acquired lower. Before I do so I thought I would ping the board for some feedback.

Any thoughts on Del-Ton?

Excellent uppers. Definitely go for it. I have a Del-Ton lightweight upper.

i have a Del-ton 20 inch A4 style ( Ban compliant :( ) upper and hold it in high regards. good fit and finish. great shooter, great price

the only gripe I've heard is something along the lines of "it's not a super-duty build like milspec Colt blah blah blah", but the guy still thought it was a great set-up, especially for the money. seriously havent heard of anything bad about them.

I'm waiting for my next paycheck, and I'll be ordering a midlength. Already got the lower yesterday :)

I have a Del-Ton mid-length kit on a DPMS stripped lower. I was having multiple problems with cycling, feeding, FTE's and stovepipes. I sent the upper back and they determined it to be something with the bolt. They received my upper, test fired it, stripped it, spec'd it, repaired it (replaced the bolt assembly), cleaned it and shipped it the same day.

When I got it back I ran 200 rounds through it and it ran flawlessly. You can have problems with anything mechanical. It's the customer service that separates companies.

BTW-mine is a tack driver with A2 fixed sights.
