So I am sifting through the brownells catalog as I prepare to send my delta of for some custom work and came up with some questions on parts.

Is the extractor the only series 80 specific part, other that the firing pin saftey parts?

I would like a wilson bullet proof slide stop and they list them for .38 super and .45, which one?

What about barrel bushing, does it need to be 10mm specific or are the barrel diameters that specific to 10mm?

Basically are .45 parts interchangeable or no?

Firing pin is also Series 80 specific and is interchangeable with the Series 80 38Super firing pin

Start with a 38 Super part, you may need to file the part that engages the magazine follower to keep ammo from prematurely engaging the slide stop.

Size the bushing to match the inside diameter of the slide and the external diameter of the barrel. For best accuracy, the bushing should be a little tight in the slide and have 0.001" clearance on the barrel.

Colt really used a 38 Super 1911 as the basis for the Delta Elite, at least as far as I can tell, so not all 45 ACP parts are correct for the Delta. 38 Super/10mm specific parts include firing pin, firing pin stop, ejector, slide stop, receiver, and slide.

Hmm grip saftey's are 70 or 80 specific? I haven't even noticed a distinction in brownell's?

Yep. The difference is that the finger that blocks the trigger has a thinned
section to clear the frame lever in the Series 80. The firing pin stop has a
clearance cut on the bottom left to clear the lever in the slide. The 70
parts don't have the cuts.

I like the Series 80 type firing pins in all pistols. The cutout area makes for
a slightly lighter pin for faster locktime and less inertial mass in the event
of a dropped pistol.

New Year's Greetings to all!
