I bought a Century Arms wasr10 at a gun show and noticed after field stripping it there was a dent on the firing pin. I've had two or three misfires out of a couple hundred rounds and want the utmost reliability. Where would be a good place to buy a replacement pin and would it be something I could replace myself or would it require the aid of a gunsmith.
Thanks everyone.

I'g get on of the German firing pins from K-Var. They sell just the firing pin and they have a bolt repair kit too which has a firing pin and extractor too. The German surplus pins are a heavier design with flutes and I think they are hardchromed too.

The chip might be causing your misfires. It can also cause pierced primers too, which will damage the rifle over time.

Replacing the pin is easy and is part of the detailed strip. The punch for taking down the bolt is part of the standard cleaning kit.
