Detachable Magazine-fed Lever Action?

Do any such rifles exist? I think that such a rifle, or shotgun for that matter, could bridge the gap between a sport-utility semi-auto and a more classic lever-action.
It would be nice to have one in .30-30, .44 Magnum, or 12 gauge.

The only one I can think of is the Browning BLR. They're still making it in rifle calibers from .22-250 to 450 Marlin, but no 30-30 or .44. I used to have an older one in .308, and I liked it quite a lot.
 
At first I just wrote this off as a, "Snort. yeah right."

But then I thought of Remington's Model 7615 and thought, "could be a fun gun."

I'd think the mechanics of the lever action might make it hard to work. But hey, this is the USA! We can make bricks fly by throwing enough money at them.

ETA: Didn't even think about the BLR when typing this up. D'OH!!!!
 
Marlin Levermatic. They were made in .30 carbine and .256 Winchester back in the 60's. They also made them in .22 (tube or detachable magazine).
 
Savage 99 was made with detachable box magazine or with internal rotary magazine.

I've got a Levermatic in .22LR, the 56 version with the detachable magazine.

Unfortunately I bought it from a guy that didn't have the magazine and now I can't find one. Anywhere.

I'd really like to shoot that thing, too! I can work the lever without removing my hand from the stock.

Browning BLR currenlty made 22-250 - 450 malin and most of the magnums 300 wm, 325 wsm ect

I may be wrong but the ruger 96-44 may have a detachable clip?

Browning's orignal blr was made of wood and steel. Like so many modern firearms the newer ones are of wood and alum. Ever try and reblue alum?

Even remingtons model 710 first production run had a synthetic receiver, which was later changed to steel. It wasn't that long ago that s & w actually screwed their bbls. into the receiver too. Now I've heard they are crush fit.

Anyone seen pictures of Benellie semi auto high power rifle or winchester's new one. Looks like something out of star wars.

Hmm I'm liking the BLR... are there any high-capacity magazines for it available? Like the gun that hunter used in Jumanji?

It's a shame that so many of these guns are out of production...

I have a BLR 81 (all steel) in 308. It's my main hunting rifle. A friend has one in 708 and 300 mag. Both of his are the lighting models. (Alu. receivers with a pistol grip stock.) I think the pistol grip stock is ugly, but that is just MHO.

I really like the detectable magazine. It's really easy to clear the weapon, in or out of the stand.
 
Love my .308 BLR, it is a very nice gun, excellent handling characteristics, shoots like a dream, and while it is a little heavier than the marlin, it is also built to handle bigger and more powerful cals. And while mine is not the accuracy equal of the A-bolts I have owned it is a very accurate rifle.
