detective specials....

I carried mine to the bank awhile ago. It's a far superior revolver to the pre-agreement Smith & Wesson model 60 I normally carry, but that old .38 special cartridge just doesn't stack up all that well against the .357 magnum.

That little Detective Special has one of the best single action triggers I've ever pulled.

So that's why you can afford your collection ... :neener:

I sometimes carry a late issue Detective Special. The action has been worked over and I suspect the trigger pull is similar to the one Standing Wolf mentioned. I prefer the slightly larger grip on the D.S. as it give one something to hold on to without leaving the little pinky hanging out in space. You also have the advantage of 6 over 5 shots, and the front sight is wider then those on most J-frames and therefore quicker to pick up. The sights are dead on - point of aim to point of impact. They also have the kind of quality that Colt "used to make." I am satisfied that the .38 Special +P (for which the gun is rated) will do what ever is necessary if I do my part. If I need a Magnum it won't be a snubby.

I have been...
Mine is a sentimental pc...

Due to some recent information I may not, or less so.
I didn't fully realize what I had - since being Educated and my education continues...

Let us just say some folks really took care of me on this Sentimental Journey ;)

THANKS FOLKS !! You know you are

:D

I carry one around town periodically. It fits great in a coat pocket but as the summer comes on, I wear a jacket less and less.
