Does anybody know of a magazine maker that makes one that will fit flush with the bottom of a Detonics Combat Master? I bought a Wilson Combat but it sticks out of the frame about a half inch. Thanks for any info.

Officer size 1911 mags hang out on a Detonics. I don't know of a source for Detonics-size mag other than whatever you can find on the used market. I believe they command prices in the $50-$100 range.

I bought a couple from gunclips. They seem to be the same mags you can find on ebay, only for half the price.

I did have to do a little work on them. The mag lips were razor sharp. A fine ceramic stone fixed that. I also installed extra power mag springs as the originals couldnt keep up with the slide velocity of the Combat Master.

If you can find (and afford) factory mags they're the better choice, but these are better than nothing.

How close is the Detonics Combat Master to the original STI Ranger? Those use a 6 rd magazine that is shorter than an Officer's size magazine.

This is what I use.

If the link does not work check out the Wilson Combat Sentinel magazine.

I use this base plate with the Wilson Officer magazines.

I have a Wilson Combat Sentinel and it sticks out about a half inch. I have heard Mec-gar may have made mags for Detonics at one time?? I emailed them but got no response. Thanks.
