I like the idea- not the executionThats a real switch from your original post and the email you sent me. I thought you were panting after one.
They made it in stainless, or even carbon steel; with decent finish and good innards ? I’d be after one. Though I think this generation will soon find an 1851 Navy grip not suited to double action workI like the idea- not the execution
That's what I was thinking, I'm sure there'll be a few press releases. I'm certain .22 Pinkster will get one.Don't give up yet. Wait for the reports. It might be the best $250 gun you can get that has a dual caliber ability.
I highly doubt it, but we’ll see. If it spurs Ruger to produce the Wrangler in .38 Spl with a 3” barrel and birds head grip, that’s all that matters.Don't give up yet. Wait for the reports. It might be the best $250 gun you can get that has a dual caliber ability.

I wouldn't say that they've never do it, but the fanbase spurring Ruger on to do anything is a pretty tall order. For years they made the LCR and people wanted it in .22 and .327 and they finally did, but most of what Ruger has released the past few years nobody was asking for. Nobody asked for the RAP, the SR series was just fine and while DPris (God rest his soul) was adamant the RAP is a superior pistol that doesn't mean it was one people wanted. I don't think anyone asked for the EC9s nor the Security 9, 57, nor Wrangler, but Ruger has a thing for making an affordable handgun (knowing low price points appeal to more people and generate more sales) or for taking another company's design and improving it and selling it as their own.It will never happen. If they won't chamber it in 22 mag they will never do a 38. I would like a 32 Long but that won't happen either. Nothing "spurs" Ruger to do anything very often. They have about all they can make now and try to keep up with demand. Want a 3" Birdshead 38, look to Uberti.
Handled God knows how many, shot two. Every. Single. One. I’ve ever handled, minus an *old* genuine Heritage; was absolute below the bottom of the barrel trash. Sights not milled, barrel obviously canted, cylinder marred and damaged to the point of not indexing, on and on.Can I ask what your opinion is based upon?
Do you own a Heritage? Have you ever fired a Heritage?
Hey I'm not saying they are perfect, but since I own 4 of them, along with a Wrangler, and a 3 screw SS, I do like to hear others actual experiences.

Pardon, but did you not read ? Handled multiple pieces of scrap, shot two ticking time bombs. Better off with a JimenezSo you haven't owned or even fired one?
Wow I can't believe they ship them without milling, or actually probably casting the rear site. As to the canted barrel, even S&W has been known to ship one with a canted barrel from time to time.
I'm not trying to single out Mr Mosin, but it never seems to be the people that actually own low budget guns that bash them. It's always somebody that has no real experience with said gun.
Exactly. My buddy’s two copies turned me away from Heritage." I'm not trying to single out Mr Mosin, but it never seems to be the people that actually own low budget guns that bash them. It's always somebody that has no real experience with said gun."
Perhaps they have "no real experience" because they know beforehand what the bad news will be. I never had a Yugo, but I knew not to buy one, even when they first appeared on the market.
Plus, I DID have a low-budget gun, a Charter Arms, and learned first-hand about that one, because I didn't know about these forums. Never again, there.
I'm curious, where did y'all read it was pot metal? All the articles y'all posted said nothing of the material.
FunnyLook on the website at the specs and it says the frame material is Zinc. Not even Z-Mac (Zamak) quality.
On the positive side this says good things about Zink alloy metal.

I’d prefer steel, most preferably stainless. It wasn't a joke. For its intended use it will most like hold up just fine. Still not my preferred material.
