I started shooting rifles last year (been shooting pistols for years). Last year I went to the range a little more than once a week during our short summer here in Western NY. I have been too busy to make it out since deer season (went for the first time got a 2 year old buck). It warmed up enough and the 7 week old son was behaving so I ran out to the range for an hour.
I was afraid I was going to shoot like crap but did ok. I shot my savage 22-250 prone off of a bipod. Shot 8 groups of 4 at 100 yards and had 5 out of 8 groups sub MOA. It was 60 degrees and had variable winds up to 9mph.
I can't wait to get out again.
