I am a relatively new reloader and so far have only cranked out pistol rounds (plenty of 9mm, .40 and .357 sig).

I am getting ready to make the leap over to rifle calibers, with .223 being the first one I want to tackle. I am starting to research what other supplies I need to order, and I came across these 2 die sets.

Can someone explain the difference between these to me?

thanks in advance!

First one(PaceSetter) has Full length sizer, seater/crimper and Factory crimp dies.
Second one has Full length sizer, collet neck sizer and seater dies.

You want the first one if you have a semi-auto .223.

Collet neck-sizing ain't gonna get-R-done.

If you are going to reload .223 for a bolt rifle go for the Deluxe 3 die set, that collet die is for neck size only, a plus for bolt rifle shooters, if your reloading for an semi auto go for the set with the factory crimp die, although a lot of people don't crimp for semi auto, some do and seem to get good results as in standard deviation, and extreme spread numbers if shooting over a chrono, another plus crimping is no bullet set back from recoil for rounds in the magazine, but the recoil on .223 is so light it is usually not a problem.
