Difference Between Kali, Modern Arnis, and Pekiti-Tirsia?

Hello Everyone,

Having some trouble with my Modern Arnis instructor and thinking seriously about switching instructors and was considering a few who teach Kali and Pekiti-Tirsia.

Can anyone explain the general difference between the three arts for me?

Modern Arnis is the style of Filipino Martial Art developed and taught by Remy Presas.

Kali is a generic term used to describe FMA in much the same way as Arnis and Escrima.

Pekiti-Tirsia is the style of FMA developed by Leo Gage Jr.. Litterally, it means "small triangles".

I've studied Pekiti as well as Modern Arnis and also studied FMA under a fellow who was teaching what amounted to Inosanto Blend FMA out in Oregon. Given my choice, I'd go with Pekiti.

As I recall, there are at least two Pekiti guys in the Dallas area.
