I am interested in the differences between these two pistols. Is it just in the controls? Or is there more to it than that? I Have shot the MKII and liked it (except for the mag release) and have watched others shoot the 22/45 and it seems to be pretty much the same gun. Also, since I am on the topic, when you buy a NIB 22/45 or MKII do they come with the rail so I can add a dot site or is that something you have to buy separate?

Thank
Jeremy

The controls AND the grip angle are different; the 22/45 was made to replicate the grip angle on the 1911. Not sure about the optics rail, since I bought mine second-hand.

The target versions come w/ the scope mount & as mentioned, the grip angle & th mag release aethe biggest differences. Get which ever one fits you & your needs best ;)

The only difference in the action is the sear spring. The 22/45 mags are easier to load and the mag release is better, just pic what feels better in your hand.

They both use the same extractor as the 10/22 rifle.

there are some aftermarket "no smithing" mounts the work fine and are pretty cheap. Bren
