I am going to take a look at a used Rossi Hartford 92 38/357 20" octoganal stainless and before I made the potential purchase I was wondering if there was any differences between the Ross: EMF Hartford, Navy Arms or LSI (legacy sports ?). Thanks !

Someone will come along to help me (and you), but IINM, EMF and Navy don't come with that silly turn safety on top - for some people, this is a reason to prefer them, myself included. Although availability is scarcer than the LSI/Pumas. Other differences, I'm not sure. Did you look over at Paco's levergun forum?

The Navy Arms has a walnut stock while the Puma and EMF have a hardwood stock. The Puma and EMF have the ugly safety.

They are just different grades of Rossi's. The Navy Arms are the nicest, The Puma's are the lowest. EMF's are the middle. I own a Navy arms 357 and would take it any day over any Marlin 357.

Thanks for the replies...I just picked up the Hartford used (no safety); like new condition.

Cocked & locked. My Rossi EMF looks just like your picture. Got a bull eye fresh out of the box . Smooth action , no jerks , no binding , no hang ups . .357 , and just a great little rifle .
