Shooting a 19-5 that I got in a trade this morning. I shot four different types of ammo. 3 types of .357, and one .38. The .38s and one of the kinds of .357 were pretty difficult to eject. Not that I had to hammer on it or anything, but it was a lot harder to eject then it should have been. The other two .357s ejected just fine.

The ok ammo was one box of factory ammo and one box of some reloads from a gun show.

The sticky brass ammo was Magtech (.38) and a box of new .357 that I don't remember the name of.

The gun was very accurate and shot just fine.

Any ideas? The gun seemed pretty clean.

Don't waist money on someones reloads that you know nothing about. Could blow up your firearm and damage you. Remember if you shoot 38sp before 357s you will have problems getting your brass out. Powder crud builds up in the chamber from the 38sp. Keep those chambers clean. Don't mix 38sp and 357 unless 38's are shot last. And today some ammo is simply have better controls than others at times. Shoot quality ammo from some one liecensed to do so. Or start reloading your own. Make notes on what gives issues.

With clean cylinders with factory 357s drop in and out thats as good as it gets.

Chambers are not all alike. Once in a while the cylinder bore may not be true or it may be rough. Use a bore mop on a cleaning rod with a JB paste and spin wth a drill. Don't hold in one place.

I would think that all reloads sold at gun shows is made under license. The lack of insurance may be a problem.
