Dillon 550... WOW !

I like this one so much, I am on the lookout for another 550 so I could set it up for large primers only...

That's what I did - I was so happy with my first 550 I bought a 2nd on ebay. Currently loading .454 Casull and .44 Mag on the two machines.

Congratulations!! If your dies have the clip on top, then you're got a fairly recent version. That press must be fairly low mileage, as Dillon presses go. Older Dillon dies didn't have the clip, as shown below.

The new dies are great if you want to run 2000 rounds off using the same bullet. But if you're like me and want 100 of this bullet and 200 of that one, then you need to adjust the seating die's body height fairly often. Try placing a fat o-ring between the seating die's lock ring and the die holder. That lets you snug the lock ring down against the body of the o-ring. Then you can adjust the seating die up and down for OAL variations, while the tension the o-ring provides holds the die in whatever position you choose.

Just got to keep looking, found this for $40 local pick-up so I sent a e/m offering $100 shipped, should be here next middle of next week :)
