I never knew about it until AR-Bossman mentioned it in another thread. Of course I can’t find it available up here in Canada but that doesn’t mean it isn’t I just can’t find it.
So I thought I would try a spacer of some sort and only thing I had were a couple of brass spacers used on the water pump pulley on a Thermo King truck reefer. The two of them measure about 2.25 mm.
Took the two clutch bolts out and put the spacers between the plate and bottom connector that goes over motor shaft.
Tried it on the large pistol plate with 44 magnum and 45 Colt brass and made a huge difference. Then I tried it on the small pistol plate with 357 brass thinking this is going to be great but it made no difference. Ive tried using the large pistol plate for 357 before and it was worse than the small one.
So thought I would try the large one with spacers and it’s at least twice as fast loading 357 cases now.
I don’t think I would want to go much thicker as the plate is a little wobbly and I think cases especially 357 would go under the plate but it sure does make a big difference.
