I have a question regarding a Dillon Powder Unit.

Are the Powder Unit interchangeable between presses, can I use one off a 550 on a Square Deal B.

I ask because I have an extra tool head and dies for a Square Deal Press, but no powder unit, and I would like to be able to change calibers without resetting dropped drop.

You should be abel to swap it between the two, with out any trouble.

I think the general answer is, "yes" but you should call Dillon first. There are some parts of the PM that is unique to the SD you will likely have to purchase separately if you already have a 550 setup. Check the powder measure schematics on Dillon's site and you will see the SDB parts inset separately on the 550B schematic.

All the powder measures(unit) are the same on all Dillon presses, even their SL900 shotshell loader.

The only difference between the Square Deal and other powder measures is the connector body collar, the bottom of the measure where it clamps to the powder measure die. The SD measure has a small rectangular clamp block attached by one bolt, whereas on the other measures the clamp is semicircular in shape, and attached by two bolts.
You can obtain the SD connector body collar assembly separately from Dillon.
