Thanks. I will double-check this. I'm pretty careful about pushing that handle about as far forward as I can to prime. It was not a situation where a few or only some of the cases seated primers high. The press very consistently seated all of the primers right at flush, I just prefer them to be slightly under flush. I only notice this with Hornady 6.5 Grendel brass; it seats the same primers ever-so-slightly deeper in 5.56 brass.

Some brass just has tighter pockets. 45 ACP S&B brass is this way, why I cull it if I am loading with something other than my 45 ACP 1050, so everything feels the same with the same results. They load just fine, just require a bit more effort than I generally shove all the others in with.

What length of spring did you use on that powder measure? I have a rubber band that's supposed to be accomplishing the same thing, but I've heard of guys using a spring like that.

I use the stock Dillon PM return spring from the Dillon 450, then I add a 3/4 inch length of stiff wire to make it slightly longer. The shuttle needs slight assistance closing, but by relaxing the spring tension nothing gets "hammered" to death.

Maybe buy a Hornady LNL? You might not need the BS warranty:) just saying, and if you break something they send for free :) here we go..

Have not used the BLUE warranty yet.

The RED, unfortunately, was bad out of the box. 2 years and 15 phone calls later. I even offered to drop off (I am a couple hours away). They politely declined the drop off.

I think a new shooter with reasonable aptitude can run a Dillon 750. I have two 650's so I cannot comment precisely on the 750. You may have to scrounge for components for a while checking frequently for what you're looking for. Make sure you get on everyone's mailing list. We have been down this road before sadly.

My Dillon press experience started with a 550 mounted directly to the bench. I now have strong mounts and bullet trays on all my presses and find the ergonomics of that to be superior. I would order your press with the two conversion kits you want, or at least the 40 in addition to 9, that's a simple change over. I am guessing you shoot 40 and 9 the most. I would also order a couple extra primer tubes and a spare parts kit, a primer flip tray and a couple extra blue bins.

You could opt to get a 550 with everything you want and I have a 550 as well. I like the 650's much better, case feeders are nice, very nice

I agonized over whether to buy Blue or Red for a long time before I finally picked Blue. Lots of fan boys and haters for each on the internet, and it seems both have their pros and cons. I have the Blue one now and don't intend to switch mid-investment. All of these "upgrades" are minor - it loaded quality ammo the first time I set it up and ran it.

Well, I am basically voiding the blue warranty on one of my 750s. Putting an autodrive, swageit, and rt1500 trimmer, and turning it into a brass processor. The swageit doesn't do a great job swaging, but it does make a good stop for the autodrive on the down stroke. Why? Because I can run 3 750s into the ground for the price of a cp2k or 1050 processing brass...and none of them have a warranty once you put a drive on them. And I had an extra 750 laying around.

They absolutely have their pros and cons. I know a number people that are dead set on a particular brand to the point they really don’t even know anything about the others much less have ever used one to form an educated opnion.

Funny thing about the red v. blue debate, 98% have not owned both. Most of the "I love brand _____" is normal internet folklore.

There's a slight bevel to the ring. make sure the bevel/widest part is "up" when installed.
Just installed it, thanks for the tip. It really does seem to secure cases better than what I was using, which was an improvement as well (Attached). There is far less play when the case is in that station.

I am however skeptical about most 3-D printed add ons, they wear out. How many rounds do you have through it?

I must have upwards of 25,000 through it by now. I have a lot of friends that use my press to make their own loads. Other than discoloration. I haven't seen any appreciable wear. Putting it in the powder check station smoothed out the entire operation. I don't think it is a 3d printed part. it feels more like a rubber compound. I bet it's extruded.
