I have a Ruger Super Redhawk in 44mag. And if you have one you know that the front of the cylinder gets a nasty baked on gunpowder residue on it.
What do you do to get this clean ,soaking in a toxic goo ,brushes ,bead blasting (just kidding, somethings got to remove this stuff) ? ?
Everybody's got to have an option on this one !!;)

What you are seeing is normal for stainless-steel revolvers. Get a lead remover cloth. That will polish the face of the cylinder nicely. Hoppe's makes them and Pro-Shot, too. They are a very mild abrasive in a cloth, similar to the old WWII Caney/Cady/Flitz/Blitz cloth that was used to polish brass on uniform rank and insignia. Much akin to a jeweler's rouge cloth.

Indeed. Birchwood Casey Lead Remover cloth. Available at your local Wally World for less than 10 bucks. Will remove a lifetime of burn rings from the front of your cylinder.
