[Disassembly Question] Charter Arms .38 Off Duty

I've gotten this thing broken down all the way minus one pin that is to the right of the trigger guard, right before the handle portion.

It will not come out.

Is this by design? I mean it allows me to swing the bottom frame down from the top frame (like a break action) to get to the inside, but was not sure if this pin had been staked from the factory, or if it was intentional.

It will come out. Soak it with Kroil overnight, support the frame and use a Starter Punch. Go from left to right.
