Discreet Shotgun Stand?

Howdy all,

Every night, at bedtime, I take an 870 from my safe and lean it up against my night stand (I live alone). In the morning it gets locked back up in the safe. Lately I've been thinking that it would be nice to have some sort of stand or rack to set my 870 in at night rather than just leaning it against ye 'ole night stand. It would have to be something discrete though. I don't want it to scream "Gun "Stand!" when it's sitting empty during the day.

Does anyone have a suggestion?

Along the lines of Gunmn's idea above....an oldtimer trick is to take an extra sheet or blanket and fold it in the middle and slip the doubled ends under the mattress. Leave just enough of the fold hanging out to act as a scabbard. If you do it, don't scabbard past the shotgun grip and make sure the grip is right at your arm's length so your hand hits it just right. When in use, the gun's right there and when not, there's nothing to catch on anything. It doesn't tend to work too well if your gun's loaded down with attachments.
