A talented editor could sit down with U.C., smooth out the language, remove most of the unneeded sex/deviancy and (unfortunately) some of the gun detail, wrap it in a better cover and have a real seller at a national level...

yeah, that's what sam1911 meant when he said this in post 3
Let's keep this discussion to the specific questions asked, and not rehash the debate about the ... "qualities" ... of that book.

There is also a mention of Cadmus Industries in Los Angeles, World Armamanet Supply Co. in Van Nuys, CA and Hunter's Lodge in Alexandria, VA. I can't find any information about them on the web. Anyone here know anything about them?

Hunters Lodge was a real business, I recall their ads, pre GCA 1968.

I don't know about the others but figure they were either real companies or thinly disguised standins for real companies.

H&G has been out of business for a good many years.
The long nosed .45 ACP semiwadcutter, usually out of a Magma machine casting mould is a reasonable approximation of a H&G #68. Ballisticast got the rights to H&G designs but they seem not as common as Magma.

H&G used to be in San Diego! That's very cool.

The two other companies did indeed exist in the LA area in days past...
