Actually, I do throw it out in the vegetable garden, where it gets tilled in. I always just figured it was dried, ground up corn cobs anyway, so what could it hurt?
But now I'm going to start worrying, darn it! I gave up snuff in 2001, my pipe in 2005, I don't eat as much as I'd like to anymore, I have to watch my cholesterol, I can't even have a small glass of scotch every evening without feeling guilty, and now I have to worry about eating the tomatoes out of my garden because they might be contaminated by lead dust in the ground? Life gets more unfair the older I get!
I was with you till you got to the Scotch..... Some things the gooberment needs to leave alone.

Naw, it's not the stupid gooberment that makes me feel guilty about my evening glass of scotch man, it's my doctor. Not guilty enough to stop having it though.:)

What kind of Scotch do you fellers like?
I like the Speyside myself!
Ha! Just to stay slightly on topic, I'm not sure how well a couple of tablespoons of Scotch would work in a brass tumbler.
I like Famous Grouse "Smoky Black" Scotch.:)

Maybe I'll just leave the old corncobs in there forever and just work on " disposing"of this 12 year old Dewars.
