I was really annoyed by the remarks FoxNews reporter Jeff Goldblatt made in a
video called "Getting Back on Track" I found on FoxNews web site. I tried to paste in a bookmark here:

javascript:newVideo('091605/goldblatt_neworleans_091605','FNL','Getting%20Back%20on%20Track','U.S.%20%26%20World','-1');

This is a copy of the email I sent to Fox:

I have to take issue with your reporter, Jeff Goldblatt. I just finished watching his comments on web video
regarding residents returning to New Orleans. His obviously biased remarks about soldiers finding a
box containing shotgun and rifle cartridges along with a number of "spent bullet shells" (I guess he means
empty shell casings) being a reason for returning residents to reconsider what they might be returning to was
particularly insulting and idiotic. Any legal gun owner would posses ammunition and many keep the empty
cases for reloading. If this is the type of "CNN/MSNBC" reporting that Fox is moving toward, I may have to
reconsider continuing to use Fox as my news source.

Maybe some of the rest of us should also take issue with Fox.

Good post... and a good letter, DeputyDon. Welcome to THR!

While Fox News ain't nearly as bad as the other typical Ballistic Illiterates shaping/reporting the news, I've also noticed that they have their share of gun-dumb lapses. The real problem is that the "pool" of journalists Fox (or any other network) must hire from is 90% urban-liberal-pacifist-cultural-elitists.

These people/sheeple tend to have similar backgrounds: (a) grew up in an urban environment -- where the culture and news media reinforced their sheeple/think-alike-ness (b) obtained (or, submitted to) advanced education in J-schools -- perhaps the most notoriously hostile environment to our "gun culture" of any, (c) now live in an urban environment -- still "trained" to be dependant on gov't for all their safety needs, (d) never served in the military, (e) wouldn't know a semi-automatic from a bull-semen injector, (f) wouldn't last 5 minutes on a ranch in Texas -- or 5 seconds in a confrontation with a mugger.

Accordingly, It's up to US to jerk their chains hard WHENEVER they mouth this uninformed, anti-gun biased blather. So, thanks for stepping up to the plate as a responsible 2A supporter.

Now, if we can just get Bill O'Reilly to see the light re his previous comments re eeeevil assault weapons...

In the end, it's ALL political.
