Got a line on this model for $829 new. A3 carry handle with a 16" chrome moly barrel.

Does this compare with any prices some of you have seen this model for in your states? I'm in MN and haven't found out if I can buy directly from DPMS yet.

Bought mine for $899 new. I'm happy with it. No problems whatsoever and the finish seems very good to me. I am new to AR's though. I live in Iowa. Included with it was a full case, cleaning kit, and two 30 rd mags.

The price seems a bit high to me. Of course, I don't actually own an AR-15 yet, but since I'm planning on buying one soon I've done hours of research. I've seen Rock River and Stag, top of the line civilian manufacturers, AR-15's for $700 - $750 if you can handle popping in a few pins to attach the upper to the lower.

Just paid $799 for the same model with 4 mags and a hard case.

Saw a DPMS - Classic something or other, IIRC, in my area. That's about the price I remember seeing.

Good price, great rifle! I have the A-15 carbine and love it. Not a single malfunction of any kind, and accurate to boot.

Yes, you can buy directly from DPMS, just go to a fairly good sized Minnesota gun show and they will be there. I bought 2 directly from them at gun shows...You can also buy from Del-tone gun range right beside the factory in St. Cloud, real easy since you are in Minnesota...Also you will find really good buys there, and won't pay that much...
