DNZ Game Reaper for Nikon ProStaff

Does anyone use the Game Reaper one piece mount with a Prostaff 3-9X40? I bought one for my Savage 110 and it fits the gun, but the scope touches the base before the tube seats in the ring. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem?

It sounds like the mount is simply too low. That's a long action, and a fairly short scope.
What height is it?
