I saw this and made my head spin. Seems that the anti-gun freaks actually support school shooters if they are part of the confused gender bunch. What do you make of this?

I think this has less to do with pro-gun vs. anti-gun, and more to do with identity politics. Biden and his staff talked more about how the trans community was under attack than they did condemning this attack. When your entire ideology is built around tiers of disenfranchisement, it can be hard to see someone far to the "victim" side of the spectrum as anything but a victim.

I'm happy to see the tn senators step up. All three layers of TN government is pushing to fix the problem including the fed for the safe schools act. Protecting the kids is a no-brainer.
People worried about dead naming a multiple murderer are just not right.

Biden and his supporters see the gun as the problem, despite the fact semi-auto firearms have been street legal for a long time. The firearms have not changed as much as the people who now see extreme violence as the answer to their issues. When someone on the fringes of decent society uses a firearm to show their hate for the rest of us, how are we supposed to react to it ——- stop them in their tracks. How can we tell they harbor such hatred against people who have done nothing to them? Yet, the proposed gun control laws can only work on the law-abiding types.

There was a snippet of a news story that said that school was not the primary target and they moved to a secondary based on security at the primary choice.... maybe school resource officers can really make a difference

Some people may view some types of malevolence as a "chickens coming home to roost" type of thing.
Makes me nauseous

edited to correct a spelling derp

In before thread lock!

Their logic seems to be " the enemy of my enemy is my friend, even if he/she/they are also my enemy."

Reminds me of Longshanks when he ordered the archers to fire into the melee, and the duke turned to Longshanks and said, " Beg pardon sire, but won't they hit our men?" and Longshanks replies, "They'll hit theirs as well."

Maybe it’s all about keeping certain groups of people the limelight.

The killer who devastated a gay nightclub in Florida certainly was shown no tolerance from these same sickos who now force themselves into the media’s limelight.

I’m honestly scared to send my children to school here in Seattle. It’s completely open with ZERO security. I really don’t know what to do. Not just a active killer situation but we are literally the home of mental homless ness

The tone and scope of the first post is not in keeping with the mission or standards of THR. We do not call people names, no matter how strongly we disagree with their stance on firearms. And while crazy is not the worst name in the world, it is not in keeping with the standards of THR.

How someone chooses to identify is none of our concern. Yes, we as a nation have a massive mental health problem. And yes, it has an impact on firearms, in so far as the pushing of unconditional Red Flag laws. But wading into the wider mental health problems, as a whole, and how we should combat them is decidedly off topic for THR. This is one of those radioactive topics that can't be handled safely.
