Do you disassemble and clean all new magazines?

Nope, never have. I have never had a problem yet either. My older mil-surp mags I usually update with new springs and followers if that counts. My new magazines I just load and shoot.

Yes, I always disassemble them and hose them down with a degreaser. I examine the follower and remove any burrs I find. I then put two coats of paste wax on everything - body (inside and out), follower, springs and base plate.

Nope. Only clean surplus mags that are full of cosmoline. Glad I haven't had to deal with any of that crap for a long time. That stuff is nasty.

In general? No, just eyeball them to make sure they are free of dirt/grit/dust/etc. Sometimes I will with surplus mags.
