I agree, and I'll add don't NOT buy a gun you want because someone else doesn't think you should.

Over time I’ve gotten bored with handgun shooting in general. In particular, revolvers. I’m in the process of selling them off. I prefer sitting at a bench with a nice rifle & optic. If I had to name a specific handgun I got bored with, it would have to be Glock. I very much appreciate and enjoy the 1911, BHP and pretty much anything Beretta makes.

To be fair, all my handgun shooting is done standing in a stall at the indoor range. If I had enough property to set up a cool shooting field I wouldn’t get so bored.

When I was a might younger, yes.
Now that I'm older, no.
My needs and wants have simmered way down and I'm happy with what I have, and don't get to shoot them as much as I'd like to.
