Frandy, my eye caught that little holster on the bottom left of your tub, the one with yellow stiching. looks like it might fit my p11 or my Taurus 85. Do you want to sell it?

I would have a bunch of extras.. that is I would if I didn't sell the ones I didn't like enough to replace whatever I'm carrying in. I only really keep one or two holsters for each of the.. oh .. 4 handguns I might consider carrying. I've tried a ton of them, but I've also sold a ton of them be it on forums or ebay.

I have a couple of holsters laying around in a box somewhere, but they are waiting to be used, and are not there because I don't like them. I store them in the box or on hooks from the ceiling joists.

The truth of the matter is that I have never been into buying lots of holsters. I know the type I like, thumb break, high ride, strong side, for self defense pistols and I go with them. I buy other types for sporting pistols and revolvers. They all last a long time with a little care, and keeping them in a dry box, keeps them out of the light, and away from dust.

All the best,
GB

I guess I'm slowly getting there, although, I'm trying to avoid it. Can't help the XD holster, that came in the box. Picked up an Uncle Mikes shoulder holster for a Beretta 96 and maybe have used that 2 or 3 times...just too hard to get a comfortable and workable fit. So now, I just have my Galco which I carry my P2K in. I'm actually trying to do some reverse psychology as now, I'm trying to find a good price on a Sig that will fit the same Galco holster.

Yes, Several boxes in fact, but on the other hand when it comes to Guns and related accessories

Per Wifey, I have too many of Everything :what:
but
Per Me, Not enough of Anything! :D :D

When you are left handed you tend to buy any LH holster that you find on sale, sometimes even when you don't presently own a pistol that will fit into it.

I thought I was the only one! right now I only have one holster I bought about ten years ago that I figured I would one day get the gun for it and haven't yet. I have a couple drawers of nice holster that get rotated, kind of like the gf's closet full of shoes and purses. Since getting a ccw I finally understand that now. A bonding experience to be sure.

I switched over from semi-autos to wheelguns not to far back and got rid of most of my holsters with their respective guns. Right now I probably only have about ten holsters laying around, and that includes smart carry, a pocket holster and flap holster for a cap and ball revolver I've never shot. Of the remainder, a couple are "off the rack" holsters I bought to tide me over while waiting for custom leather.

Just wondering, am I the only one here who has actually worn out a holster ?

No sir. :)

Also worn out belts, slings, barrels, recoil pads, shooting pouches...
:D

FWIW a Bone Stock Gov't Model of 1911 will still be combat accurate with only 1.5 " of rifling left at muzzle end of barrel.

*grin*

Well since everyone has so many holsters laying around, anyone have one for a SP101 that they would like to sell? OWB preferably? oh 2 in barrel if that helps

No, but...

That's only because I take the unwanted/unused to gunshows and recoup what I can out of them. I only own two holsters now. Since all my carry guns are 1911's, I can get by with just those. Oh, and one of those is on loan to my uncle who just got a 1911 and needed one for his CCW class.

Fortunately for me, I don't. I spent some time on boards, like this one, to find something that would work for me. I got lucky and bought a CompTac C-Tac IWB holster and have been happy with it for the past 2 1/2 years.

No. My Sparks Road Runner is getting pretty tired.

I have a box of holsters for guns I use. Most still even see occassional use. I have holsters for guns we use for Sims in Study Group that I don't own, and have them just for that reason.

I've got 3 boxes full of holsters. Some for guns I no longer own and some that just didn't work.

Too bad that used holsters aren't worth squat, cause if I could get 50 cents on the dollar I could probably buy a couple of new guns if I sold them. Plus, almost all of mine are left handed, which makes them worth even less.

I, too,am looking for cheap holsters, vertical shoulder rig, paddle, or IWB for a 4inch Smith Model 10, or an IWB leather that will fit a CZ-75 PCR. Maybe you can get a few bucks for those old rigs laying about.

When I suffer from "New Gun SYndrome" I usually start my buying spree during my state mandated 10 day wait. I've even got holsters to guns I don't even have anymore :banghead:

I'm in the big drawer camp. Two questions. Does the Uncle Mikes nylon holster I buy for each gun for safe storage count? Also I have a Bianchi Model 100 Professional for each gun I carry, does that count as one holster in many parts?

If I could settle on one carry gun it would probably help. Having carry holsters for most of my guns adds up in space used and dollars expended.
