If we just count new retail the SW9VE is the winner. Everyone complains about the trigger but honestly most gun shops that carry DA revolvers have examples of worse. It has never failed to go bang, is accurate, carries well, and it sold for $299 with a $50 mail in rebate and two extra magazines (total of four).
If we count surplus, the cz82 after some tweaks. Under $200 before the night sights.
Beyond that? I can't count gifts, and except for the few that were "free" I haven't hit the real bargains some of you have found.
But earlier today I picked up a new candidate. 3" SP-101 in .327 federal. Never fired (still had the plastic disc on the cylinder end), complete package, new old stock. I had been planning to buy one of the new 4.2" models but they run $600 before shipping. This loses the fiber front site, adjustable rear, 1" of barrel, and the wood grip inserts, but also $200 of price.
Considering that I have a single seven .327 fed. that has all the missing features (though of course it lacks DA trigger) I think I hit a spot of luck.
