Do you like a 1911 with a nice roll-mark or a blank slide?

im not bothered by the roll marks i sorta like some of them , with exception of the series 70 colts those are hideous billboards, i wouldn't own one unless it was ground off.
some people are gonna hate to hear this but i think kimber has the best looking roll mark of all 1911's. it just looks classy to me.

Large letter roll marks are obnoxious looking. If it has a "billboard" type of roll mark than I don't like it. If it's small enough like what the Colt standard roll marks are, it's a-okay. A blank slide is nice but the small lettering on my Valor is just right.

IMO DW makes about the nicest looking SS 1911s going. They just seem to get the surface to achieve maximum pleasure to my eye.

The only real cosmetic deal breakers for me though are forward cocking serrations barf and tactical buzzwords emblazoned on the slide. I'm too old & fat to ever be an Elite Champion SpecOps Expert Champion Tactical Operator. Don't really need it carved into my gun...
