Do You Share Your Firearms at the Range?

I don't have a extensive or fancy collection of guns. I only own three, a M&P 40, a PT-22, and a Remington Speedmaster .22.

Though I have not yet shared any of my guns at the range, if someone showed interest in one of my guns, or asked to try one, then I would let them.

It happens to me a lot and I don't mind. I have an extensive collection (over 50) and 17 are Winchester 73's, 76's, 86's, 92's, and 94's.

Two, in particular, seem to be the ones that most people come over and want to see. One is an 1886 Winchester in 45-70 that was rebarreled by W.H. Hobaugh and refinished by Al Beisen. It is absolutely beautiful. It has half and half barrel and the caliber (loud) draws their attention.

The other is a 1980 Colt SAA Ned Buntline Commemorative with nickle plating and 12" barrel in 45.

Many people have never seen Winchesters that were made before 1900 so I always feel good about them actually being able to hold a peice of history and shoot it if they like.

I love to let people shoot my guns at the range. In return they usually offer to let me shoot whatever they have there that day. You get to meet a lot of nice people that share your same interests and shoot a lot of different types of guns.

I let the r.o at my local outdoor range (buffalo rock) shoot a mag through my uzi a couple of years ago. He was telling me how he was on active duty during the inavsion of Panama, and saw lots of uzi's but never had the chance to inspect one or fire one.
