Hi
sumpnz,
Thanks very much for your reply to our call for possible subjects for our documentary. I appreciate your skepticism and your need for more information about our project, as this is such a hot button subject (and Michael Moore made the supporters of second amendment rights very cautious about the media.)
I would be more than happy to talk with you about the project and our intentions. As the producer of the project, I can assure you that I have no desire or intention to "spoof, or otherwise intended to make fun of, degrade, humiliate, or otherwise disparage gun owners and hunters". The show does not have an anti gun or a pro gun agenda. My desire is to show the diversity of gun owners in this country and how it affects young people in different ways. My goal is to respectfully allow young people to show us the importance of the issue of guns in their lives. Among the subjects we are talking to are olympic shooters, the second amendment sisters and hunters. But as you might know, a project like this is character based, so we are looking for articulate people with interesting stories.
It would be great if we could talk in person so that I could answer any questions that you might have and I could learn a little about you and your point of view.
Please let me know the best way to contact you or feel free to call us at our office 212-xxx-xxxx.

Justin,
Can you guarantee, in writing, that this documentary is not going to be a spoof, or otherwise intended to make fun of, degrade, humiliate, or otherwise disparage gun owners and hunters? Simply read the posts following yours to see where my concern comes from.
If you can make that guarantee I might be willing to a be a subject of that documentary. I have put in for deer and elk tags this year, and if drawn it will be my first time hunting. I am also within the age range specified.
Sincerely,
sumpnz
