I contacted Smith and Wesson and they ask if the .50AE had rims and I replied the gun's amunition required rims to fire. They said that they thought it may work. Does anyone know if this Revolver will fire a .50AE caliber I shoot out of my Desert Eagle? They told me to contact the makers of the .50AE ammunition, can anyone here atest to if it really will work before I invest in this revolver. The shell is 325 gr. Speer GoldDot hollowPoint shell? AS THINGS STAND NOW THE ANSWER IS NO.

The 50AE is a rimless case design for use in autoloading pistols, not revolving pistols.
It also has a much shorter case.
The S&W M500 could modified to handle the 50AE with half or full moon clips but in my never humble opinion that would be the zenith of foolishness in the S&W M500 pistol.

I own a DE 50 and a S&W 500

Nope, not even with moon clips, the 50ae case is tapered kind of like a 9mm luger, the 50ae will go in the chamber about 2/3 of the way and stop because the case is too thick with about a 1/4" of case hanging out the cylinder.
