Does a AR platform lower really matter

What others have said, Parts are parts for lower receivers. I get mine from Surplus Ammo as others have. Worked great. Tight fitting and slick operating. However the DPMS trigger kits are just that. Starting kits. Splurge on a great trigger and you wont care what color, brand or pictures are on your lower receiver.

Speaking of DPMS lowers and triggers, I have two DPMS lowers with RRA two stage match triggers in them and I think the RRA triggers are the absolute cat's meow. And you can find them for under $100 on the internet. They're not adjustable, just a clean breaking 4 1/2 - 5 lb pull that works great for bullseye or defensive exercises. IMHO this is the trigger the standard AR should come from the factory with. I have a rifle with the Bushmaster competition trigger in it and I'd really rather have the RRA.

My DPMS lowers are not flawed in any way.

I've bought two Spike's lowers and a Armalite. The finish is nice on all. I wish I could have found lowers with NO ROLLMARKS for a decent price. A lower is a lower as long as it's in spec.

If you ever were to decide to sell, joe citizen will probably only know namebrands and might affect their decision. Ones in the know......well know better.

As far as lower parts kits, I have Armalite, Daniel Defence and G and R Tactical.....these are single stage "military" (not match) triggers.

Aimsurplus.com has a great deal on "blemished" AR lowers.

Just how "blemished" are these lowers from Aimsurplus.com?
