Does anyone make a large caliber flintlock pistol?

I'm looking to add a fun gun to the collection. I've seen a few "do-it-yourself" percussion pistol kits in .50 caliber, but what I'm looking for is a smoothbore flintlock pistol in .68 to .75 caliber range (or larger). Doesn't matter if it's a kit or an assembeled gun. I'm not looking to spend a fortune, and it doesn't have to be historically accurate.

Any suggestions?

Probably more than you want to spend:
Dixie Gun Works:
FH0890 Pedersoli French "AN IX" Military Pistol 69 caliber $650.00

Keep an eye out on Gunbroker & AuctionArms. Inexpensive repros come up often.

If you get one of those IX, let us know how you like it. I'd love to put some lead through one but I don't want to drop the cash.

Those Japanese-made .69 Tower flint pistols show up fairly regularly on Gunbroker. Seems like they usually sell for $150, or thereabouts.

ofitg, those look nice too. I'm guessing I'm going to have to cast my own lead balls/bullets for anything other than the usual .50 caliber.

I suspect you are correct, but casting lead is not difficult.

I bought one of those Japanese pistols in 1976, but I've never shot anything except buckshot throught the thing.....

I've heard that some of them have soft frizzens; before you bid on one, it might be wise to ask the seller if it produces a good shower of sparks.
