Recently I have been reloading oversized lead bullets (.3575) for my 9mm with very good results. I was wondering if anyone did that with plated bullets? Berry's makes 125gr bullets for the .38/.357 that are .357 in diameter.

I tried some .357 125 Gr Powerbond plated HPs in 9MM and they worked just fine. That doesn't meen it will work in all guns. I should have tried to chamber some in my tight chambered (SAMMI minimum) chamber, but I didn't think about it at the time.

As long as they feed and chamber, they should shoot just fine.

Yep, shot a bunch of Berry's plated and Precision coated, and although the results were good, they did everything they were advertised to do, I have just stayed with my cast bullets. I got a good bullet (Lee 125 RNFP) that works well in my 9mms and I don't have to order and wait. I have even been powder coating some and I enjoy making my own, so to speak...

You'll have to slug the bbl. and/or the chamber to find out what diameter bullets will fit best. One of my 9mm likes .357" while the other gets by with .358" (just .0005 over groove diameter).

While I have not tried plated .357 bullets, I size my cast lead to .359 to get accuracy out of my 92FS. It's barrel slugs at .358. The powder coating I use gives them similar characteristics to plated.
