Red China is selling Venezuela millions of AK-60’s, the updated and deaadlier version of the world famous American-Killer AK-47 assault rifle. these are being passed out to every man, woman and child in Venezuela to kill Americans.

Even though I don't like how this is worded, I do not buy gas from Citgo and I try not to support anything from that thug's country. Yes, I know china is communist, but I'm disappointed if they are selling guns to Chavez.

And, what exactly is an AK-60? I've owned and shot AK-47's and AK-74s, but haven't seen the 60?

So what if they are? Chavez isn't likely to invade his neighbors. He isn't going to march up the Pan-American highway and invade us, although I wouldn't mind if he took select parts of Texas. He wants small arms and has cash to pay for them. What's to care about?

Chavez has been making a lot of speeches pledging Military support to Iran, Cuba, and many other Anti-USA countries. He has also been increasing the equipment and training of his army.

Now all this could just be chest-thumping become the big boy in the Southern Hemisphere. However, alliances and military build-ups like this were present before both World Wars.

It is unlikely that we will invade Venezuela or Cuba, but Iran may force us to do something and Chavez could seize the chance to strike. Hugo likes to appear the big man and has the force to back him up. This is dangerous because he could just be talking big to appear stronger than he acctually is (like Saddam before the invasion), or he could be serrious and it is difficult to tell.

He may not be the direct threat to world peace that Iran is, but nothing would stop him from sending troops to Iran to fight US or sending boats and planes into the Carribbean to force us to divide Our troops.

tellner, of course you are right that Chavez will not invade anyone but he does not need to. Chavez is merely a forward supply base for zany anti-Americanism and the soon to come Iranian missles which will be pointed at us.

AK-60s? Is this a typo, or is this referencing a "Type" small arm???

Hmmm, there is a Type 60 towed 122mm tube, but could find no small arm of the sort. Anyone have anything else? http://www.sinodefence.com/army/artillery/type60towed_122mm.asp

I believe he recently went to Russia to secure a large billion dollar arms deal, which includes the rights and machinery to build AK-103s & other designs in Venezuela. He also made an order for advance aircraft from Russian, like the Mig-29, SU-30 & MI-24 Hind. He is also buying transport aircraft from Spain. Personally, I don't trust the guy but right now he is not the biggest threat in the world. He seems to be very popular in his country, and has done alot to help the poor and indiginous tribes.

China will sell weapons to anyone.

Chavez made a deal with Russia for 100,000 brand-new AK-103s. The first shipment of 30,000 rifles (along with 25 million rounds of 7.62x39) arrived this summer, and the next shippment is scheduled for next month.

He also struck a deal with them to build an AK-47 factory. And bought some F-16s from someone although I can't remember who as this moment.

The only thing I worry about is the factory supplying groups like MS-13.

Big deal. Chavez is just a big windbag living off the high price of oil. If/when the price of oil drops, Chavez will be history as his big profits dry up and voters kick him out of office.

Chavez is intent on spreading his Marxist ideadolgy through South and Central America right up to our backdoor. Don't forget that Mexico barely missed electing that communist Obrador this summer. I believe that America will be tested severely during this decade and the next.

We will win.

Erbus, Venezuela is selling their F-16s because Chavez, doesn't want the military to use American made weapons.

Ah, that's right, and I think he is selling them to Iran isn't he? Seems to me those 2 were entangled somehow. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I don't think Chavez is the type to start something, but I can see him jumping into a conflict the is allready going. That way he can play "The Heroic Defender of the People from the Evil American Imperialist Devils."

Iran and the ME is where I see the trouble starting. China is making too much $$ off of us to start a war just yet and N. Korea probably won't start anything major unless they are sure that they can get China's support.

The only thing I worry about is the factory supplying groups like MS-13.
The CIA's worried about Chavez supplying narco-terrorist militias in neighboring Columbia, like the leftist FARC. And yes, the CIA is active in Columbia. Although I'm unsure if our government officially acknowledges this fact.

Chavez is just acting tough. Brazil is the big dog in South America. If Chavez tries anything really stupid Brazil will give him a smack and a "Sit down and shut the Frack up!" (Love the new Battlestar Galactica!). Columbia doesn't like him much either and their military has plenty of combat experience lately fighting drug lords. I think most of sensible South America sees Chavez as the crazy neighbor with money showing off. Most of Venezuela is probably geting sick of his BS and making their contry look crazy.

Chavez is also selling his F-16 since we told him to go screw himself when he asked for spare parts! :) Call our President the Devil? NO PARTS FOR YOU! Get out!

these are being passed out to every man, woman and child in Venezuela

Hey, guys, where's the love? Isn't this the ideal leader as far as RKBA is concerned? Oh, wait, there's this:

to kill Americans.

Does anyone think we'll see a rag-tag army of Venezuelan farmers, clerks and housewives marching on San Diego any time soon? Why, then, is the author afraid they'll be used against Americans? Maybe he has reason to think American troops might find themselves down there? Oh, wait again,

citgoboycott.com

Now we would never let a group of disgruntled losers in their home country talk us into invading to oust the current regime, would we?

Seriously, Chavez went pretty far overboard when he cozied up to Iran this week. But if anyone thinks it would be smart to get into a war down there... well, maybe there's a place for you in a certain lame-duck administration.

"Intent on spreading his Marxist ideology". Puh-lease. He doesn't like the US. He really doesn't like US oil companies. He's got a bit of an attitude since we tried to set up a standard coup and it didn't work. So he says things that we don't like and shakes hands with people who don't like us. We aren't even talking about "Dog bites man" here. It's more like "Horse eats grass".

What he's peddling is a blend of nationalism, hate-the-Yankeeism, and a big dash of economic populism. He doesn't have to push it much. It pretty much spreads itself everywhere in South America except among the rich elites. He's not a threat to us. He's not a threat to his neighbors. And if he did invade one of them we'd crush Venezuala and take their oil. It would be a few weeks, tops. It wouldn't cost anything, and the oil would pay for the whole thing. Not a problem. Honest.

(Chavez)..."shakes hands with people who don't like us"

He also recommends their books, at least in the case of Noam Chomsky, notorious America-hater and Marxist who propagandizes and undoubtedly collects a fat salary at it at MIT.

And just What part of Texas did you have in mind?

yeah...
Seems the current war we are fighting was prefaced with very similar statements. Just add rose petals in the streets...
"Mission accomplished" right?
