Title says it all. I can't seem to find RIA's web site to look it up. So do you know if they make a 9mm, or tell me what RIA's site is?

Thanks

i just typed in rock island armory and got eleventyseven places to go look. maybe your search engine needs a tune-up.

They make the 1911-A2 wide body in 9mm, .40&W, and .45ACP. I have all three. They take Para Ordnance double stack magazines.

Great guns overall, the 9mm is over 15,000 rounds now.

Robby - when I type in 'rock island armory' I get a bunch of responses also, but none of them are an official web site for RIA. It's stuff about RIA but not RIA. If I type in 'STI guns' the first response is www.stiguns.com which is STIs official website. That's what I'm looking for with RIA.

.....methinks y'all are getting Armscor and RIA mixed up.....Armscor is a corporation that has specific pistols made and sends them to RIA in the U/S/, but there is no RIA 9mm ; that one (9mm) is made for Armscor and Armscor keeps it to itself and sells it without including RIA in the process what-so-ever......
there has been a "leak" that RIA was trying to get the 9mm line, slightly different of course, but it has NOT come to fruition, yet.
and yes, you can go to the forum and actually talk to the guys at the corporate level (RIA) and they are very open about their available pistols and aer also VERY friendly and helpful, and will repair ALL their models FREE for life - best service dept. I have seen in my 47 years of 1911 ownership -
and yes, they will get you a .38 super that converts very easily ( try SARCO for best prices )

Armscor IS the manufacturer, that's the plant in The Philippines that makes Armscor, RIA and HighStandard 1911's, and frames for STI. Yes, they do make 9mm 1911's, but for some reason they haven't started making them in the RIA name and importing them here. They've had samples at the Shot Show, but none for sale yet. Kinda like the elusive High Point .45 carbine.
