Does anyone's gun count match their age?

Unless I start buying REALLY cheep guns fast I think it will be a while before my gun count matches my age. Right now my age out strips my gun count by almost 2 decades. Although, I made a dent in it this year by buying 3 guns.

Umm...I just discovered another bit of reality that goes along with this "getting older bit".

Rule of thumb is 2.5 X one's age - right? 51* 2.5 = 127.5 guns I am supposed to have...

Let's see....at 32, I had none. At 36 I have more than 12....maybe 13 without hurting my brain too much.

I'd say I'm catching up nicely.

My gun count is well past double my age... it's fast approaching 3 times my age... and I'm approaching middle age!

No need for 10X that many.
I just work on becoming proficient with a select few.

Early on, I had set goals on the number of firearms I had and planned to have. It was first 5 then 10 then 20, then my age and so on. I'm well past my age and am shooting for multiples of it.

At my age, I don't want to buy that large a safe. Besides, I'd rather be familiar with shooting what I have, than just having them. I started at 21.

Being young and poor, I'd have to have a collection of 26 Hi-Points. Unfortunately I like quality so I can't buy as many as I'd like.

Now the law in CA is that I'm restricted to one handgun a month, that's 12 a year. I had gone a year and a half once doing my civic duty...then I had a reality check To be at my age...I'm about 15 short, but really, it's a nice concept & a lofty goal. You only have to get there & then jut buy one a year there after. The tough part are all those childhood years you wasted now acquiring guns How if you discount this by the years you've legally old enough to buy guns, I'd be a tad closer

6 guns in the past year. At that rate ill have my current age in 2.5 years. How old am?

No, but I went from 28-0 to 31-14, so I should be OK after a while.

Now I'm more concerned that my cartridges-on-hand count is 100-fold that of m age. Not too far on that.
