Montana: "The right of any person to keep or bear arms in defense of his own home, person, and property, or in aid of the civil power when thereto legally summoned, shall not be called in question, but nothing herein contained shall be held to permit the carrying of concealed weapons." Mont. Const. art. II, 12.

Concealed carry requires a permit, if within city limits. Outside of city limits, there are no restrictions. Also carry in purses, backpacks, briefcases, etc. is not regulated: "concealed carry" only refers to "concealed by an article of clothing". Open carry is permitted most everywhere. Subjects are not allowed to carry in banks, bars, or gov't buildings, though agents of the .gov are.

LOUISIANA CONSTITUTION SAYS...

§11. Right to Keep and Bear Arms

Section 11. The right of each citizen to keep and bear arms shall not be abridged, but this provision shall not prevent the passage of laws to prohibit the carrying of weapons concealed on the person.

WE ALSO RECENTLY ADDED THIS WHICH IS ESSENTIAL IN THIS AGE OF CRAZED TREE HUGGERS..

§27. Freedom to Hunt, Fish and Trap

Section27. The freedom to hunt, fish, and trap wildlife, including all aquatic life, traditionally taken by hunters, trappers and anglers, is a valued natural heritage that shall be forever preserved for the people. Hunting, fishing and trapping shall be managed by law and regulation consistent with Article IX, Section I of the Constitution of Louisiana to protect, conserve and replenish the natural resources of the state. The provisions of this Section shall not alter the burden of proof requirements otherwise established by law for any challenge to a law or regulation pertaining to hunting, fishing or trapping the wildlife of the state, including all aquatic life. Nothing contained herein shall be construed to authorize the use of private property to hunt, fish, or trap without the consent of the owner of the property.

Missouri lays it out

Section 23. That the right of every citizen to keep and bear arms in defense of his home, person and property, or when lawfully summoned in aid of the civil power, shall not be questioned; but this shall not justify the wearing of concealed weapons.

So when they arrested me at the airport at the LOO for open carry in my auto the dumb a$$ed lieutenant looks at me and asks, "Why would you bring a weapon to the airport?"

I looked him in the eye and said, "In this time of terrorism and whatever, I want to be in a position to aid the civil power, if they lawfully summon me."

He looks at me like a dork.

He returns my shootin' iron to me.

I am on my way.

Reserving the right to regulate manner of carry is what I would call "infringement". I don't think it would logically stand in a direct confrontation with the 2nd and 14th amendments in federal court.

Ohio has something about it. But remember when does any constitution, either Federal or State, stop somebody for enacting a gun control measure.
