Tangentially - on the subject of gun movies - the local film critic knucklehead said this about "Secondhand Lions": "Duval and Caine make the film watchable, but there's too much gunplay for the movie to truly be the child-friendly entertainment that it pretends." Maybe so, but that sounds like a good reason for adults to go see it!
Excellent "B" movie- "Night of the Living Dead" with werewolves instead of zombies. Lots'o good clean killing fun (no need to feel bad about zombies or werewolves).
Actually I've never seen the movie, and I didn't say it was an L1A1. I only said that the L1A1 was called the SLR by the Brits. Maybe you need to READ closer JK, but I've gotta say this thread has really got me interested. I'll have to rent it.
Finally got around to watching this movie on DVD. I wish I had sooner. GREAT "B" movie. I was very pleasantly surprised.
BTW: The producers do acknowledge that they took the name from the Lakota in their commentary. There's also quite a bit of other "homages" to other films in the movie. I only caught a couple on my own.
