Got a new project. It is an I. Hollis & Sons double shottie in what seems to measure out at about 18 Gauge. Bores are .630" & .633" at the muzzle. It's all in pieces (and missing a few at that) with a bad previous attempt at restoration. The top rib is loose. Bottom rib (?) and retaining lug (attaches barrels to front of stock with a locking wedge) are off. Barrels have at some time been separated from each other and from the breech plugs. Poorly soldered and not aligned. Missing the hammers, the ram rod and I think a couple guide/retaining rings under the front of the barrel.
I want to restore this to a cosmetically presentable wall hanger. What was the correct period (~1860's?) finish for the metal? Browning instead of bluing?

And the wood? I might just do a True Oil finish if not too far off.

Who would have parts in addition to Dixie Gun Works? I'd like to have it look as period correct as possible.
