Don't they make rifled tubes you can insert into a SXS shotgun, in calibers like .45-70?

From what I've read, accuracy with the better ones is decent.

I have a Baikal double that came to me with EAA 45-70 tubes installed and apparently regulated. I have always shot it with 350 grain jacketed handloads. I found my RH barrel shoots pretty straight with the front and rear sight out to 100 yards. The LH barrel crosses the RH at about 75 yards. I don't remember the group sizes, but it was minute of deer accurate to 100 yards.

One day I saw that someone had put a 1' diameter 2' long block of wood on the berm just beyond 200 yards at my local gun club. Just for giggles I shot at it with my RH barrel (the one that shoots closest to the line of sight). Once I found the holdover I bounced the log down the hill with several successive hits.

I think I paid $500 for the rig about 20 years ago. It's a heavy rig at just short of 9 lbs.

New Ghost sight in rear, Leather sling I took to Africa… fitted to this Double. Belt pouch now used for Muzzloader items.
Set up nicely for Woods hunting the Dangerous Whitetail of the North East.
